Essential Fitness Alliances

Yoga Program:

As a training team we feel that we need more focus on flexibility and balance across the board. These two aspects of fitness are absolutely essential in order to keep your backs, hips, knees, joints, etc. pain-free to allow you to reach your goals more efficiently. We have been discussing ways to pinpoint these issues and move our clients to a new level in fitness by improving on them. We have decided to add yoga to our services. Sean O’Connor is joining our team to provide one-on-one yoga training that will be available to all Essential Fitness clients. The lengthening, balance, and focus of yoga will provide a very beneficial complement to the high impact, high intensity training that Essential Fitness workouts currently provide.

Yoga sessions will be available beginning October 1, 2008. We are very excited and hope you are too!

Nutritionist Julie Starkel:

Julie Starkel offers personalized, nutritional counseling, with an array of services to assist her clients achieve their optimal health goals including grocery store tours, pantry overhauls and cooking lessons.

Her areas of specialty are gastrointestinal issues of all kinds, nutritional support for autoimmune conditions, sports nutrition, and weight management. Julie believes health begins in the gut and works with clients to achieve intestinal health first and foremost. She also approaches chronic conditions (i.e. headaches, chronic fatigue, etc.), diabetes, pre-diabetes, cholesterol and heart health from a natural, whole foods perspective. Nutritional supplements, natural cooking and some herbs play a part of helping her clients come back into balance.
